Week 8 : Layout on inDesign

So i finished my layout on inDesign

Well, except the back cover, but i already have an idea for that page

 Just i could execute it just yet. (._. )

Mr Adam : Magazine Layout

7th october 2013,

In Mr Adam's class we were told to sketch out our magazine layout.

As well as, present to him our cover layout.

And after presenting mine to Mr Adam, he really liked the fork one ( bottom right )

I did some initial layouts on inDesign

As well as, tryout some stuff on Photoshop for my magazine cover. 

Mr Jeffrey : SURPRISE TEST

YES. you read that right. SURPRISE TEST.

Mr Jeffrey posted on Facebook with a sketch 

And on Illustrator, we were to come up with our own logo. Based on the sketch Mr Jeffrey has done.

And so below, i finished pen tooling the sketch,

 used some scribble effects.

Working some more on the Gadget part now.

Although mr Jeffrey commented that it looked more like a small kid play thing shop. (._. )

Mr Adam : Magazine

So we are starting with our individual project, making a magazine.

And we are to select a theme and ive gone for pastries and dessests. Focusing on tea-time delicacies. 

And also to come up with a Mastheads, which is the title of our magazine.

Below are my sketches and options.

Initially, it was suppose to be

IL PASTHCCIO

 But Mr Adam commented that it was rather too long for a masthead.

And suggested i go look for a shorter mast head. 

And so i went out of my way and found a pretty little name for my magazine.

As well as properly develop it on Illustrator

As to why my masthead is like so, is because the rounded font reminded me of teacup saucers.

Which fits perfectly into my theme :- TEA-TIME DELICACIES 

Dulce et Decorum basically means Sweet and Fitting

where, Its fitting enough to keep us content till dinner time without actually starving to wait for the food. 

haahhahha

And we had to present it shortly in class, only to get commented that it would have been better if the tagline was in english. For it is going to be an english magazine.

So i fixed that quickly.

Mr Jeffrey taught us how to make use of indesign. Creating a good-looking magazine. And adding images and text into it.
